Just to tell you a little about who I am, I am a born & bred Texan, growing up in the Dallas area. I attended college at the University of Texas (Hook'em!), where I studied engineering & mathematics, graduating in 1990. After pursuing a masters degree in math and teaching college algebra for a year, I felt called to change course and entered seminary, graduating with a Masters of Divinity degree from TCU in 1994. While I left the fields of math & science, I still approach a great deal of life - including matters of faith - with that sort of reasoning and with a questioning spirit. Church should never require us to check our brains at the door. At WaterWay, we will never shy away from asking the hard questions... and we readily admit that some of those questions have no easy answers.
I moved to Northwest Arkansas in the summer of 1994, have been here ever since, and absolutely love it... although I do still cheer for the 'Horns! My wife, Laurie, and I have been married for 16 years, and are blessed with two wonderful children: Rachel (age 11) and Jacob (8). They keep us busy most of the time, frazzled occasionally,... and grounded always, reminding us of what is most important in life.
If you are looking for a place to unwind, slow down, and simply listen for the voice of God, WaterWay may just be the place for you. Come check us out! And if you have any questions for me, please feel free to contact me at dmorrow@fccbentonville.com.
